Join us for a morning of giving back! On Sunday, May 5th, we are hosting several community service projects at NSCI as we close the Hebrew school year and head toward summer by making a positive difference in the world.

For nearly three decades NSCI’s Feed the Homeless program has helped to feed thousands of people around Chicago. We provide 1,000 hot meals and brown bag lunches monthly.

Study a selection of the most well-known or important sugiyot (talmudic discussions) with Rabbi Wendi Geffen.

Does someone in your family have a drug/alcohol/behavioral problem? Do you feel isolated, confused or in need of support? YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Families Anonymous is a Twelve Step Program for people concerned about drug/alcohol abuse and behavioral problems of a relative. Please park in the south parking lot. Purchase ingredients and make sandwiches for the Night Ministry, a non-profit organization that provides essential services to Chicago’s food-insecure and transient population. We make 125 sandwiches on each date listed. Sign up to make a minimum of 25 sandwiches. For a larger mitzvah project, as a b'nei mitzvah celebration or other simcha, you may sign up to make as many as the full 125!

Do you struggle with addiction? Do you want or need support? Typically hosted at North Shore Congregation Israel, these weekly meetings will be held online in a closed session until further notice. AA is an anonymous Twelve Step Program for people who struggle with alcohol or other substances. Please park in the south parking lot.
