Mitzvah Garden

PURPOSE

Each spring through fall, NSCI volunteers and staff lovingly grow hundreds of pounds of fresh produce that is all donated to the Moraine Township Food Pantry and The Ark Northwest, ensuring that our neighbors in need have access to fresh produce to eat.

WHAT WE DO 

NSCI families prepare the soil, plant, weed, water and harvest many vegetables which are then donated. We grow green beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, lettuces, arugula, spinach and summer squash. The volunteers work on Sunday mornings and we always welcome more volunteers to participate in this very worthwhile, enjoyable project.
