About the Position
The Executive Assistant plays a key role in supporting the clergy in their efforts to provide for
the pastoral, educational, and lifecycle needs of NSCI’s congregants. This position also partners
with a team of administrative staff to ensure excellence in NSCI’s daily operations.

Key responsibilities
● Support 2 rabbis with calendar management in Google Suite, meeting planning, expense
report processing including account coding, and other routine administrative duties, all
with a sense of urgency and the utmost confidentiality.
● Screen rabbis’ phone calls and in-person visitors with professionalism, tact, and
● Support programmatic efforts of rabbis including supply and facility coordination,
outreach to participants, and cultivation of program interest groups.
● Coordinate rabbis’ interactions with congregants around life cycle events including
appointment scheduling, event support, and logistics.
● Process data in CRM system, entering congregant data and running reports and rosters.
● Record, track and manage rabbis’ incoming discretionary fund donations and thank-you
● Record all general donations to the temple on a daily basis with meticulous detail.
● Support rabbis in the creation and mailing of condolence letters and other congregant
● Oversee weekly Yahrzeit (memorial) reports of names to be read at services.
● Answer synagogue phone calls, greet congregants, and screen visitors at the front door as
part of the larger administrative team.
● Provide general administrative and programmatic support for temple-wide programs
such as holidays and community-wide events.
● Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Competency Requirements
● Enthusiasm for the vision and mission of NSCI (Learn more HERE).
● At least 3 years in an administrative role, preferably as an Administration Assistant.
● Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
● Approachable with the ability to maintain positive relationships at all levels of the

● Possess a high level of integrity and utilize discretion in handling confidential material.
● Ability to anticipate executive needs and understand key business concepts and
