With your participation, we serve the students, teachers, and families of the Jordan Community School located in Rogers Park, one of Chicago's most diverse neighborhoods where there are approximately 40 different languages spoken. Jordan Community School is a K–8 school that prepares their graduates for high school, college, and careers through a balanced and integrated literary approach, diverse learning experiences, and character education. Rogers Park is also a significantly under-resourced community—through Operation Backpack, we can play a meaningful role in ensuring that Jordan Community School students have the school supplies necessary for an equitable educational experience this upcoming school year. We are grateful for our decades-long partnership with the Jordan Community School and look forward to another great year of Operation Backpack at NSCI.

Join Rabbi Geffen in studying a selection of the most well-known or important sugiyot (talmudic discussions) scattered throughout a variety of talmudic tractates. No experience necessary. Texts will be provided.

Join the NSCI Breakfast Club on the first Tuesday of every month for breakfast and schmoozing with friends old and new! Each month features a new topic of discussion! To join, reach out to group leaders Robert Dillon and Neal Baitcher, using the button below, to be added to the email list. This club is for male-identifying folks who are retired or nearly retired. Congregants and those interested in joining NSCI are welcome.

Does someone in your family have a drug/alcohol/behavioral problem? Do you feel isolated, confused or in need of support? YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Families Anonymous is a Twelve Step Program for people concerned about drug/alcohol abuse and behavioral problems of a relative. Please park in the south parking lot. Do you struggle with addiction? Do you want or need support? Typically hosted at North Shore Congregation Israel, these weekly meetings will be held online in a closed session until further notice. AA is an anonymous Twelve Step Program for people who struggle with alcohol or other substances. Please park in the south parking lot.
