Rabbi Lisa Greene will be leading a discussion after the following program. Israel's Yad Vashem – The World Holocaust Remembrance Center's online exhibit "Weddings During the Holocaust" presents the stories of Jews who married during the Holocaust and those who married after the war in an effort to build new lives. Michael Tal, curator at Yad Vashem, discusses the exhibit and materials from Yad Vashem's collections documenting relationships between couples, as well as items describing how women imprisoned in concentration camps coped with the difficult situation forced upon them. The WNSCI Women's Retreat has become a highlight of the year. Gather with other NSCI women of all ages for a spiritual, reflective retreat, led by Rabbi Greene. We’ll mark Shabbat and create community with interactive learning, meaning, and fun. Rabbi Dalia Marx of Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem, author of From Time to Time, will join us on Shabbat.

Join us for challah braiding, service with 3rd and 4th graders helping lead the tunes, a pizza and pasta dinner, and karaoke. The place will rock!

Dalia Marx will speak at Shabbat services on what makes Israel (the Jewish people) a people and discuss realities in Israel today as part of WNSCI Shabbat. She will continue to present/work with WNSCI throughout the weekend at their out-of-the-building retreat.
