Have you always wanted to blow the shofar? Own a shofar and ready to learn how to use it? Come learn with Cantor Goldstein how to make the proper sounds for the High Holy Days and help to usher in the High Holy Day season with the calls of the shofar at our Rosh Hashanah services.

The Museum of Tolerance (MOT) is the educational arm of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, an internationally renowned Jewish human rights organization. The only museum of its kind in the world, the MOT is dedicated to challenging visitors to understand the Holocaust in both historic and contemporary contexts and confront hate today.

For nearly three decades NSCI’s Feed the Homeless program has helped to feed thousands of people around Chicago. We provide 1,000 hot meals and brown bag lunches monthly.

Join Rabbi Geffen in studying a selection of the most well-known or important sugiyot (Talmudic discussions) scattered throughout a variety of Talmudic tractates. No experience necessary. Texts will be provided.

Families Anonymous is a Twelve Step Program for people concerned about drug/alcohol abuse and behavioral problems of a relative. Please park in the south parking lot. In the leadup to the 2024 presidential election and the one-year anniversary of October 7th, 2023, Rabbi Leizman will lead a four-part series on conflict reconciliation.

In addition to prayers throughout the High Holy Days, this year we will be offering a special Eileh Ezkerah (“These I will Remember”) service, after Mincha but before Yizkor, to honor the victims of October 7th and its aftermath, as well as to pray for the hostages and soldiers as we hold out hope for peace.

Rabbi Greene will deliver a Yizkor reflection. Music by Cantor Goldstein with the High Holy Days Choir and Stone Family Organ.
