What accounted for the rise in antisemitism during the late 19th and early 20th centuries? How did it differ from earlier expressions of "anti-Judaism?" In this class, we will examine primary sources (textual and visual) from Europe and the United States to understand different manifestations of antisemitism and the ways in which Jewish communities responded. 

*Dr. Kohn is a member of the History Department at The Dalton School in New York City where she teaches global history, Antisemitism, and International Relations, among other courses. Widely published, Kohn serves on the Board of the Association for Jewish Studies and sits on the academic advisory councils for the American Jewish History Society and Jewish Women's Archive. Dr. Kohn grew up at NSCI and is the daughter of our own Karen and Will z"l Kohn.
