Calling all 2nd Graders and their families! We invite you to join your child for a Torah program focusing on the mezuzah. Parents go directly to Perlman Sanctuary and students will come from their classes. We will hear from our soferet (scribe), Linda Coppleson, about the experience of writing the words in the mezuzah insert, the Sh’ma, and V’ahavta prayers which are taken straight from the Torah. Afterward, we will sing songs, including the Shema—the watchword of Judaism, written on mezuzah inserts—and then hang mezuzot on the doorposts of rooms throughout the NSCI building.
