Shabbat Services and Dinner Featuring Peace of Mind Israel Speakers
Friday, July 25, 2025 • 29 Tammuz 5785
6:15 PM - 8:30 PMNSCIJoin us for a rare opportunity to hear from some of the members and/or facilitators (Israeli trauma therapists) of the Peace of Mind Delegation who will be speaking at Kabbalat Shabbat services, followed by Shabbat dinner. This is the first time that Peace of Mind has sponsored Tatzpitaniyot, an all-female group of veterans, no less those who served in such a significant role in the protection of Israel. Come hear about their experiences and show your support for Israel.
Peace of Mind is a therapeutic intervention in which IDF veterans receive time and space to process their combat experiences. Part of the Metiv Israel Psychotrauma Center in Jerusalem, and in partnership with Jewish communities worldwide, the program strengthens their emotional and mental well being. Each Peace of Mind group culminates their program with a week-long trip to the United States where they are hosted by synagogue communities, engaging in intensive trauma therapy in the day and participating in fun, social activities at night. The distance from Israel, the love and support of Jewish communities overseas, plays a key role in creating a safe, quiet, and meaningful environment.
Registration and payment for the dinner is required by Tuesday, July 22.
Cost of dinner varies by age: $36.00 for those ages 12+; $18.00 for children ages 5–11; Free for children ages 0–5
