Pollinator-Friendly Gardening at Home

Sunday, April 28, 2024 20 Nisan 5784

9:30 AM - 11:00 AMFrank Memorial Hall

Join the Friends of the Green Bay Trail to learn how to attract pollinators to your home garden. Resource materials will be provided to assist with planning spring planters and garden displays. Jennifer Brennan, Chalet Manager of Education, a well-known speaker on gardening and home plant care, will be our presenter. Members of the Friends of the Green Bay Trail (FGBT) will offer supportive materials and plant resource information for attendees.

Meridith Clement, Becky Maganuco, and Dorr St. Clair are Glencoe residents, Master Gardeners, Chicago Botanic Garden volunteers, and board trustees of the Friends of the Green Bay Trail (FGBT). They are advocates for increasing pollinator-supportive landscapes at home and within our community. FGBT has spent 12 years restoring the portion of the trail adjacent to the North Shore train tracks within Glencoe. It has removed thousands of invasive plants and trees and replaced these with native plants to support essential pollinators such as birds, butterflies, and insects.
