12:00 PM - 1:30 PMChicago Botanic GardenJoin NSCI’s new Director of Communications, Hila Ratzabi, for a poetry walk in the garden. Poetry can bring us back to our senses and connect us to the world within and around us. As we approach the High Holy Days, what better way to reconnect with awe than to spend time in nature reading poetry? We’ll meet at the Chicago Botanic Garden, read and discuss poems together, then take a walk and try out some writing exercises. No writing experience necessary – all are welcome. Bring a notebook, pen, and a sense of discovery.
Hila Ratzabi recently joined NSCI as Director of Communications. She is also a poet and writing instructor, and the author of There Are Still Woods (June Road Press, 2022), which won a 2023 gold Nautilus Award for poetry and was a finalist for a National Indie Excellence Award. She is the former Director of Virtual Content and Programs at Ritualwell.org where, for eight years, she oversaw the publication of hundreds of original Jewish rituals, prayers, and poems. She is excited to connect with the NSCI community!
Guests of NSCI members welcome; $18 for guests.
