Learn to chant Torah & Haftarah with Cantor David Goldstein. Holy Chanter will gain a practical knowledge of cantillation that will allow you to successfully chant on Shabbat and holiday services here at NSCI. Join us to read and discuss the stories and poems of Delmore Schwartz, an author who wrote in the years leading up to and beyond WWII. Schwartz's writing is know for the philosophical explorations of Jewish life and the divide between his generation and the largely immigrant one before it. Texts will be provided for each class.
