Technology and its accompanying social media are parts of our everyday lives, and they impact our kids' growth and development. What is the current knowledge of the impact of technology on kids and parents and how can that inform our parenting choices? Led by social worker Tracy Kite, LCSW and Rabbi Lisa Greene.

Our short morning service will lift up meaningful themes of gratitude and memory and include Kaddish. This new experience will be brief and followed by a light breakfast, allowing participants to head out to work or school by 8:30 am.

Yizkor prayers of remembrance will be offered and our clergy will read aloud the names of all those lost to our NSCI family in the past year. After these names are honored, there will be a chance for members to say aloud, the names of additional loved ones long remembered.

Does someone in your family have a drug/alcohol/behavioral problem? Do you feel isolated, confused or in need of support? YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Families Anonymous is a Twelve Step Program for people concerned about drug/alcohol abuse and behavioral problems of a relative. Please park in the south parking lot. The loss of a spouse or partner can be life-changing, especially as you face the “golden” years alone. Learn what to expect from your grief, adapt to role changes, learn coping skills and navigate relationships in your new status. For those with a loss over the past year and a half.

Families will cook and serve at the Beth Emet Soup Kitchen in Evanston. Involves food shopping, cooking and serving, and welcoming Soup Kitchen guests. Children must be 7 or older. Pre-registration is required. Contact Lisa Goosmann, lgoosmann@nsci.org.

Do you struggle with addiction? Do you want or need support? Typically hosted at North Shore Congregation Israel, these weekly meetings will be held online in a closed session until further notice. AA is an anonymous Twelve Step Program for people who struggle with alcohol or other substances. Please park in the south parking lot.
