TEENS @ NSCI
We invite you to join an exciting and fun part of so many of our teens' lives here with our Teens @ NSCI group. We offer programming from social outings to tikkun olam (repair of the world) projects. Teen events are a great escape and always a good time!
Teens @ NSCI also run two amazing retreats each year:
- The Jeffrey Lasky Memorial Arts Retreat in the fall is a three-day retreat which enables teens to explore Judaism and Jewish identity through artistic expression, and has themes like "Depicting the Torah through Hip Hop Slam Poetry" and "Garage Band and the Akeidah."
- The Elaine N. Sherman Karav Retreat in the spring is a four-day identity retreat, planned and implemented entirely by teens for teens.
AJC's Leadership Program for High School Students - Applications for the 2022-2023 program are now open
Today’s high school students are tomorrow’s Jewish leaders. Leaders for Tomorrow (LFT), American Jewish Committee's education and advocacy program for teens, empowers young Jews to speak up for Israel and the Jewish people.
LFT helps high school students develop a strong Jewish identity and trains them as advocates for Israel, and to be voices against antisemitism. LFT gives students the tools to talk about the issues impacting world Jewry today, and the confidence to stand up for these issues in college and throughout their lives, no matter how difficult the situation.
