This year on zoom. Next year in person!

As the Covid-19 pandemic continues, many of us again find ourselves needing to gather virtually for Passover for a second time.  While it is hard to imagine another seder apart from our loved ones, we can take comfort in knowing that we can still find ways to experience Pesach with connection and meaning.  As was the case last year, we will again need to think differently in order to connect with our friends, family, and community.  Please see the schedule of Passover events above in which you can participate live or on-demand based on your own schedule.

Indeed, Judaism's notion of freedom should resonate  deeply for us again this year, as from a Jewish frame, our freedom invites us into the service of a Higher, more Holy Purpose. Physical distancing and remaining home can become "real-time" symbols of our cherished freedom. They will come to be understood as remembrances for what we have given up and shall cherish even more when this is over, as well as personal sacrifices for the common good and wellbeing of all. Who knows what new stories and new traditions may emerge for the future out of our experiences this year? Together, may we go from darkness to light, from constriction to freedom, from sadness to abundant joy.

We want to assure that every NSCI congregant has access to what they need for Passover.  If you are struggling to afford groceries for Passover or otherwise, please let us know by filling out this confidential form; we can help.
