Imagine the Possible: The Campaign for Our Centennial

Join us as we continue the journey that our founding families began nearly 100 years ago to ensure that NSCI

continues to flourish, innovate, and adapt for today, tomorrow, and the future.

Imagine the Possible:
The Campaign for Our Centennial

Imagine the Possible: The Campaign for Our Centennial has one overarching goal: to optimize North Shore Congregation Israel as a place for prayer, learning, service and community for all.

For many of us, some of the most meaningful moments of our lives take place at NSCl. Our membership is strong and energetic; our diverse backgrounds a source of great vitality. We have a long and proud legacy.
Now, as we celebrate our Centennial, we can make certain that legacy extends into the future so that we can continue to draw strength from a sacred and secular community that brings meaning and purpose into our lives.

Advancing the Congregation into Our Next Century: A Vision for Our Future

Imagine the Possible: The Campaign for Our Centennial has four priorities.

Our campaign is prudent and forward-looking, providing essential resources so that we remain resilient and poised to meet challenges we know will come.

A Welcoming
Home for All

Central Entrance

Office Renovation
Improved Security

Upgraded security, a priority for every 21st century synagogue, including secured entryways with monitored access.

A reconfigured office suite that will bring the clergy and staff together to promote efficiency and foster collaboration.

A redesigned, centralized gathering space to provide a secure, warm and welcoming area for congregants and visitors.

A Building for
the 21st Century

Sustaining the Synagogue

Urgent infrastructure repairs to our building and grounds have been funded already and addressed.

A substantial Stewardship Fund to strengthen our reserves and allow us to reliably and proactively maintain our beautiful synagogue and surrounding campus.

Upgrades to technology for our renowned religious education and lifelong learning programs.

A Community Resource for
Celebration & Programs

Rebecca K. Crown Social Hall

Renovate Crown Hall where our congregants look forward to coming together to engage, learn, and celebrate.

Adding removable dividers to create a truly flexible, easily partitioned, multi-purpose social hall.

An adjacent patio overlooking the lake able to accommodate a tent for larger gatherings.

A new “Meet the Moment Fund” available to our clergy for programming and guest experts in response to pressing, real-time events.

Ensuring Our
Proud Legacy

Endowment is an important source of unrestricted revenue that helps support our congregation’s ongoing operations.

A contribution to the existing endowment is an opportunity to support the synagogue in perpetuity.
