Donate Your Cell Phones to SHALVA

One person’s garbage is another person’s treasure.  Whoever had that thought was definitely thinking about used cell phones. Each discarded cell phone that is lying around your house is worth (on the average) of $4.00 to SHALVA. For every one hundred cell phones that we can collect, SHALVA will receive about $400.00! This money helps fund our outreach education projects and prevents domestic violence in the Jewish community.

You may bring your discarded cell phones to the synagogue and deposit them in the SHALVA box.

NSCI Sisterhood and Social Action Project

We are participating on an ongoing basis with the Ark’s food campaign. They maintain the only kosher food pantry in the Midwest and are experiencing severe shortages. Donate non-perishable kosher food items whenever you come to NSCI. Bins are located in the arcade. See the flier on the Shabbat table for a list of acceptable kosher symbols.
