Building Affordable Housing

Community Partners for Affordable Housing works in the local community to acquire and rehabilitate existing homes. CPAH then sells the homes at an affordable price to low-and moderate-income households, typically 20-65% below market-value. CPAH hosts volunteer build days throughout the year. For more information, contact Amy Kaufmann at

Glencoe Interfaith Builders (GIB) is a collaboration of eight congregations serving Glencoe and the surrounding communities that help build homes in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Lake County. Each congregation has been assigned a “volunteer day” to work on the new house. We encourage everyone 16 years old and older to sign up to help with the house. Volunteers can sign up anytime at the GIB website: For more information, contact our congregational liaison, Dave Rothschild at 847-579-1770.
